BOeC layout
#1
A little thread about my layout the Bonaventure & Chambly (BOeC) in HO scale.

It is a compressed rendition of the St-Hyacinthe Subdivision and Drummond Subdivision in eastern Canada, Quebec, representing the very busy main line between Montreal and Quebec city. Montreal is not depicted except a compressed version of the Montreal Gare Centrale (Central Station), otherwise Montreal is staging. Quebec city is staging only.

Towns along the way are St-Hyacinthe, Ste-Rosalie, Drummondville, and the A20.

I`ll post more pics as the layout progress.

Thank you for looking

Since I model the late 80's - mid 90's, MLW are an important component of the fleet.
However I decided to make an exception of keeping 2 CN passenger trains - and VIA rail of course

I realy like MLW`s power

However Since I follow the prototype for that particuaor era, some non-MLW are part of the roster

I`ve been asked a few times if I had a track plan. I don`t at the moment.
The best I could come up with is a rough, not to scale, drawing of the layout set-up:

That is it for now

Syl,

What a great looking layout, like the use of your scenery with the backdrop and the weathering on your grain cars Thumbsup Thumbsup, very nicely done.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that you can now find CN in the US Deep South. Here are two CN-GTW units in Jackson, MS

Thanks Bruce. It's a work in progress.

For the scenery I use a variety of products: Fine ground foam, clump foliage. pot planters, and a mix of various size and color static grass.
The backdrop helps a lot too! For weathering I use either acrylic colors, gouache, or oil. Applied with a paint brush and cosmetic sponges.
