keeping that Conrail theme going, testing my train for the Mid-Eastern Region NMRA convention in Mout Laurel, NJ. We're hoping to have everything running early this year for the associated open houses.

Northbound at Beaver Falls, Pa 10/01/2015. On the left side is a small scale hydro plant with 3 Leffel horizontal turbines that are over a hundred years old. The plant was built in 1983 with new Generators from Ideal Electric (Mansfield, Ohio).

This newly purchased caboose of N&W gets a reworking to a correct model.

Brake is wrong, absolutely! So I removed all components in a first step.

For looking the process of reworking open the gallery on my website, please - with picture titles in English. You will find also two drawings of underbody arrangements of prototype - and very divergent to that of the model!
First of all the hovering cross bearers and bolsters need to get their full structure which are lacking at original frame.
Cheers, Bernd

Thanks! I took it with one of those new-fangled "smart phones". It definitely doesn't take pictures as well as my camera does (its been sent back for repairs), but it works well in a pinch. Definitely happy I retired the old flip phone.

I've been working on signals lately. They are a simple design using track power to illuminate bi polar red/green LEDS to indicate direction of travel. Even with this basic set up they can enhance operations.

A pair of GP9s hauling a transfer run from Mayfield to West Mill's Float Yard has to wait for a fast freight headed by a trio of six axle U Boats.

Once the train has passed by, the transfer run gets the GREEN and can access the main.
