Yes... SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The Open House is giving me an excuse (or placing the proverbial Fire under "you know where") to start workiing on the
Layout To-Do list again...
Take a healthy slug of GERN Tonic - you'll work 3% faster!
That is one of the reasons I do the open house. If nothing else I at least give it a good cleaning.
Just found this old GERN advertising in an old Reader's Digest issue... Grandma kept them all since the late 40s! I didn't know there was a GERN distribution center in my area... I'll probably Google it later.

My brother, the originator of GERN, made a GERN calendar for me, and I thought it about time that I shared the photos from it with GERN modellers everywhere.
Here's the cover art:

Wonderful stuff! Very creative!!
I have to go back and read those again. Some had my eyes tearing and I couldn't catch them all first time around.
You and your brother both are very creative.

Gotta love it. Just this evening I tried adding flux pellets to calcium about 1/2 oz. of flux to one pound of calcium. I got a little concerned as it smoked a little. Anyway I put some on the snow out my back door and it completely melted the snow faster than calcium alone and left the walk completely dry. I know this is not a true calibrated test to Gern standards but I think it deserves looking into. My layout is set up in early to mid summer. Now if someone out there in Big Blue world is in winter they might be able to test this for accuracy and to the high standards of Gern. Then again Mr Gibson may already know about this and be able to clarify it for me.
