0ouse is well along staqrted out as a SAL standard section house plan i back dated it to victorian by intalling narrower taller windows changed the atic vent to round windows , house will have 5 rooms all baffled off so i can install a LED in each room so it can be turned off or on (lived in Look) thats where i'm at now .

accelerator isn't working on my isp so pics will be few and simple till i get it corrected.

Looking good so far Jim. I like the round attic windows. Did you make the porch posts or purchase them?
posts are from tichy Gary.
jim
almost forgot here is a photo of the prototype barge and peak boards the finished product will be better looking.
jim
Now we're talking. Those details are sweet!

Where did you get all the siding sheet for the house?
Wow!..This is a long contest, or either that Jim you're already planning to enter a contest in 2019.
Glad I'm sitting this contest out.
Jim,

Looks liek you are off to a great start here...

I agree with 88fan you sure are planning ahead on your contest!!

I too am interested on what size siding you are using.
whoops 88 big fingers and not enough proof reading 35 , Gary ,Greg its evergreen .060 spacing on the clap board .040 thick.

been a while since an up date , room's have been painted with several thick coats of dark paint (don't want the three mile island look), the kitchen was over painted light as most kitchens are light colored , front porch ceiling is in place , basic roof is assembled , the faux dormer was a hold up Wallbang next is the curtains then the ceiling in the house and roof guled down and bardgeboards and peakboard to be added. looks like my project is way behind most of the rest , from photos all are looking great.
jim
Outstanding! More, please!

after getting over the hump on the roof(pun intended) 2285_ things are moving at a faster pace as you can see from the pics the door's and window's are installed also the curtains are on the ceiling with the lights is on the attic area is painted a dark brown to cut out light showing through the ceiling , the foundation is on as are the poach supports, next is the celler door , porch railing and lattice on the bottom of the porch.
jim
That is coming along very nicely. I like the brick foundation!, especially the porch supports. Thumbsup Thumbsup
Cheers

The porch posts and brick foundation underneath are very nice. Great build, and I am sure I will be copying the look for the residential area on my layout!
thanks guys its some old Vollmer brick sheets with the moter lines being colored spackling , i bit of info on the foundation the house is to repersent a house in a played out mining town built in the late 1890's the time for it is 1950 ish ecectricity has been brought to the town but the house has no indoor plumbing (bath roon is about 45 ft SW of the kitchen porch) the kitchen has a well under it as well as a small cellar the rest of the house has only a crawel space
Really nice looking house! I like the detailing.
