I bought three more buildings today. This time I got two DPM's and one Heljan/Walthers creation (the middle building).I thought I would do something different this time and post a pic of what I am starting with then another pic when I am done.

The Heljan/Wathers building is the first project and is in fact well under way.
Progress to date, more to do but I'm getting there.Buildings are in the same position as in the first pic.

Still puttering with downtown Bel-Aire.I am just not happy with the way things are turning out.

What is the problem? The straight line of buildings vs. the exact curved track? Those two base elements line/circle are not in harmony and look odd at each other. Try to put the buildings in a soft curve too.
I agree with Reinhard. Break up the straight line and/or spread things out a bit. Here's an example:

If you want to keep the entire districk aligned, use the crescent-shaped space to place a building that would fit well into a row. It often happened back then. It could be an old market building or any other public utility structures.

Matt
Also you could put a small park in there.
The curve is needed to get a decent radius for going up the grade behind the town.I had thought about the park but since I already have one I sort of just dismissed the idea. But now that someone else has suggested that idea I'm starting to like it more.I may just make it a railroad park complete with a viewing stand.Of course I would need a fence to seperate the park from the tracks and I believe ATLAS has just the fence I need.
It's also the right shape for the town baseball field.
I've been fussing with this corner for several years then the idea for this building just sort of formed itself out of the brainmire. Eek There have been at various times houses, stores, a firebarn ,then houses again but nothing really grabbed me.Aside from finally getting something I actually like up there my total cost (aside from my time ) is actually $0.

Unfortunately due to the fact that Spring in my part of Michigan has started with sub freezing temps the building is done as far as it can be till it warms up to atleast the low 40s so I can rattlecan this beast. There are a few things I can do yet like make the sidewalk in front of the building.
