Thanks for the positive comments guys, the photos always show up flaws that you didn't see before so I still have a bit of touch-up.

Good looking Denny's, one of my favorite places to eat.

Thanks Mike, I haven't been to Denny's since this morning. I noticed that they are giving a "Grand Slam" to vets on Veterans Day. Going to give that a try if there's room to sit down. It usually isn't crowded at 6:00, but it might be then.
Just working on a major issue with the pole sign and some other wiring, not ready to plant it just yet.

Well, it's been a while, but understandable with the holidays and other things keeping me occupied, but I did manage to finish the DPM kit.
There's a new addition to my layout, I thought I had the perfect spot for it, but it just won't fit without major reconstruction and the town won't give me a building permit thanks to the objection of the Canyon State RR. Something about encroachment .... So, the folks that want to turn that old store into a French hotel will have to find a different location. Meanwhile, L'Hotel Hante is built and no one seems to want it in their neighborhood. I don't speak French, but I think I understand enough to understand why, especially after seeing the sign on the side of the building. I'm thinking "tourist attraction", the mayor says, "get out of town and stay there", so plenty of room elsewhere and the townsfolk will regret doing that.

Nice job Don! I like that you do the interiors.
Just one question, why do I hear "Hotel California" playing far off in the distance? Anyone else hear it?

Thanks Tom, all I hear is spooky noises in an old decrepit former butcher shop. We have to ask, what were they butchering there? Why won't the owners at least give the place a new paint job? How come there's footsteps and doors slamming shut when no one is there? And why is there four padlocks on room 241? All these things make you wonder.....

Thanks, you don't think I'm making this stuff up do you?
I just got word, the town council had a midnight meeting at the L' Hotel that was parked on a vacant lot outside of town, and by a vote of 5-0 (odd since there is only four members ), they decided to give up half of the train station's parking lot for the hotel and zone the park on the other side of the station as a parking lot. Win-win, the town now has a destination attraction and the council members all have a free nights stay at the hotel if the dare to spend the night, so far no one has opted to take that offer. ... There was a proposal on the table to change the name of Main St. to Specter St., but it got voted down 4-1 (odd, only four..... )

Stories??? Got a guy down on the playing field taking notes. He says that if you report how things are going, maybe folks won't notice everything else.... I'm just telling it like it is, I'm the designated spokesperson for these little guys.
Thanks Charlie, I have fun building, then trying to make things come to life....Running trains, well, I'll get around to that someday.
