The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Greetings, gang.

66 now going to the mid 70s later. Rain is just entering the western edge of the county and will be here shortly. Looks like I could get a pretty good sprinkle out of it.

Had a surprise visit from my daughter. Stopped in after lunch and we had a nice chat. She saw the moped and is the first family member to know I have it. This morning is a pre-op surgery exam. In other words they check to see if I have a pulse and a wallet. Surgery (very minor but hopefully will fix a year long annoyance.) is scheduled for next Tuesday.

All stay safe.

Good morning, it's just 5:00 AM and my outdoor thermometer shows that it's 91. The forecast says it could get to 109 again, heading back up to 110+ in a few days. Relentless....

Tom, good luck, any surgery is not to be trifled with.

Today I go through a stress test. Not much stress since I'm way past running a treadmill. They inject you with stuff that simulates running. I wonder if I can claim that I ran a mile while I just sat on a bench.

That's it for now, have an enjoyable day...

Hello Blue
Just passing by. My wife seems to be improving a little each day. This is the 1-week milestone and the nurse is coming to remove the big Duct tape looking bandage this morning. I offered to yank it off with a pair of pliers but she declined. Her right knee was replaced 11 years ago so we have been through this before. I have not done any train stuff lately. Haven't been away since Friday but I bet gas is still around the 350 range.

Good morning

Good luck to Don and Tom on your "procedures" .   I go for a cortisone injection in my shoulder tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it but if it gives me some relief from the shoulder pain it will be worth it.

I need to listen to the "your are a valued customer so please wait until we feel we really have to talk to you" phone message. One will be to my insurance and the other to a tv subscription that I was overcharged for.

Another ebay purchase is out for delivery so I will post pictures later

Greetings, gang.

69 going to maybe 80 later on. Got an inch and a half of rain since yesterday morning.

Thanks, guys, Physical went well and all set for next Tuesday. I did notice that the PA commented that I was overweight. This from a woman who probably weighed more than I do. And for the record I'm only (as of this morning) 8 pounds over the max recommended weight for my height. Nothing else from yesterday. This morning I need to make a grocery run. Late afternoon is my Thursday group and if I get back in time maybe a play at the local community theater.

All stay safe.

Good Morning.

70° and 84% humidity with a rain day predicted.

I got my cortisone shot in my left shoulder yesterday. The NP told me it would take a couple days to start working. It was a bit uncomfortable but not near what I was expecting.   She also prescribed some nerve blockers for when my back and shoulder pain gets really bad.

Another week has passed us by but I did get several jobs done that were in need.

I am still organizing photos, both railroad and family related.

Wishing  great weekend ahead for everyone.

Good evening folks

It has been a long day. Not much going on at the project site this week but for some reason the slow days seem to drag on forever. The rise in heat and humidity did not help.

I got a little bit of organizing done with some of the locomotives. I ran some trains for about a half hour.

This weekend I have several outdoor things to take care of. I need to put the fountain in the front garden back together. Somehow it managed to fall over, and the sections came apart. I have the fishpond filter to pull out of the pond and clean. Getting these outdoor things done will depend on the weather as they are calling for storms at various times of the day. I have some running to do such as the grocery store. My wife and I have some packing to do. We are taking a weekend jaunt next weekend to Cumberland, MD to ride the dinner train on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.

I want to work on the Bridges Area. I have foliage and other scenery elements to add. I also need to finish the subway entrance and get them placed on the layout. Of course I hope to run some trains and perhaps work on some rolling stock kits.

I hope everybody has a good evening.

Good morning

The new drugs are working to ease the joint pain and the shoulder shot seems to be working as well. My PCP has me scheduled for Xrays of my hips, shoulders and back. She wants to see if there is anything more to be done except surgery.  I keep hoping the stem cell treatments will be approved for humans. We had that done for our dog and it worked wounders.

I worked on my model of the Kiski Junction coach and I should be able to put clearcoat on the roof later. I need to print some decals for it too.

      Happy Saturday

Good afternoon folks

It is overcast today. We had a short shower around noontime. Current temperature is 73 with a high of 75 and the possibility of showers.

I just finished reassembling the front yard garden fountain. I cleaned the pump and hose. I finally got it level. It is flowing pretty good at the moment. We will see how long it last.

I didn't get downstairs to the layout. About midevening I started feeling an upset stomach which unfortunately knocked me down for the rest of the evening and night. I hope to get down there sometime tonight.

We are going to head out to Kohl's to make an Amazon return and if we feel up to it a stop at the grocery store.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Hello Blue
Cloudy, 70s for the day. some rain expected.
Well the Woodword Dream Cruise squeaked through Saturday with very little wet.
My wife is healing, moving around some with the walker. No other news, I have been house locked. Although she is well enough that I could leave her Home Alone.

Greetings, gang.

58 now going to maybe the mid 70s under clear skies.

It's been pretty quiet around here. This morning I head to Ames for some minor surgery. After that it's probably a lot of sleep til the anesthetic wears off. I did get to the gym yesterday and the pool is finally back up to temperature.

Gas was down to $3.04 yesterday.

All stay safe.

Good morning folks

What a surprise when I stepped out this morning into the chilly air. Current temperature is 60 with a high of 71.

Yesterday was a rough day. I did not sleep well due to my back bothering me and that continued most of the day. Therefore, nothing got done at home or on the layout yesterday.

t was a semi productive weekend around the house. Saturday, I fixed and reset the fountain in the front yard garden. It fell over the other day when my wife was filling it. Some Hosta had gotten under the base and pushed it up and all it needed was a little push and over it went. I had to remove the Hosta around the area and I placed some bricks which made it easier to level the fountain. Afterwards we ran to Kohl's to drop off Amazon returns. We then moseyed our way over to our favorite bakery for some goodies to celebrate my wife reaching her weight loss goal and over all weight loss of 117 pounds. Unfortunately, I never made it to the basement and the layout.

Sunday I reattached the light fixture in the basement over the washer and dryer. It had fallen off the box when I was trying to change the bulb. The bulb was fine, and the flickering was from the screws that held the fixture in place were loose. We went to Michael's and the grocery store later in the afternoon. I installed a gate at the bottom of the steps to stop the dog from sneaking upstairs when we don’t want her to do so. I finally made it downstairs and ran some trains. I had to make adjustments to a couple of cars that were derailing or uncoupling.

Today I have an appointment with the urologist. I need to discuss some side effects from the hernia surgery with him. I need to begin packing for our excursion to Cumberland, MD this weekend. We are going to take the dinner train on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad on Saturday.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Hello Blue
Just passing by. My wife is doing well, was walking around the house without the walker. PT guy say's oh no you gotta use it to keep the pressure off the knee.
No special plans, #1 son is supposed to come cut the grass today. Gas price hasn't changed, still around 3.60

Good morning

The temperature has risen to 64 at 10:45. Grass to mow while it is cool,

     Nothing real exciting to report

Good luck with the minor surgery FF.
