Just a quickie, I'm here, just have other issues keeping me sidelined for now. I do stop by, just don't have the energy it takes to participate or even do anything on my layout. I'm not going anywhere, just hanging out in the background for a while.

Bad night. We lost one of cats to thrombosis and heart failure. He was 8 years old. One minute he was fine and the next he couldn't stand or more his hind legs. My daughter who he had picked as his favorite human is devastated.

OMG!!!!!
We had that happen years ago, my daughter's cat too!!!!

Over the next few days (or weeks):
Let her know that there are people praying for her loss and we sympathize.
Depending on how old she is, think about getting her a sympathy card.  It helped a bit.
Remind her of The Rainbow Bridge.
When you see her "missing" the cat, just say "I know".....
It shows her that you miss the kitty too......

She'll be ok after her mourning period.
And yes, you can get another cat, as soon as she's ready.
My kid took about a month to start thinking of another Furbaby.

		Thanks Mikey.

She is 29 and this was her baby. He would follow her around. Come for cuddles. Greet her when she got home.

In all honesty I am taking this hard as Romulus was quite the character. He would greet me every morning at the bottom of the steps. Most nights before I go to bed I stretch out in a chair with legs up on an ottoman. He would come over and lay in my lap for a while.

Our biggest concern is his brother/litter mate. They were inseparable. We will be keeping an eye on Remus to make he doesn't have issues missing his brother. We are thinking we may have to get him a kitten.

Yeah, Tom, keep an eye on Remus. You'll be able to tell if he misses his buddy.
It's always the same with me too, I miss the pets as bad, or more then everyone else.
