As far as the color goes. I don't think the river would be that blue. If it is a lazy river, it would probably tend more to browns and greens; and any rocks would tend to have algea growing on them any place where they were under water, also don't forget algea on the rocks near or under water on the banks. A fast moving stream would probably have a lot of rocks of various sizes and would pretty much be the color of the rock, since the water would be clear except for the foam where it tumbled over the rocks in the rapids.
