I look at that stack of "modules" and got me thinking.  It's a good way to build a layout - especially if your "layout space" is in flux.

Prefab works for me. These will all get their legs as well. No holes in the wall = possibly happier wife.

A word of warning. One fellow I worked with was sure that writing "Final" on a report or project would ensure that it would be redone.
An actuary I worked for, after a number of re-runs of something for a friend of his, sent me over with the "anteprepenultimate list".

Haha, we worked on it for about 6 weeks and this was the 6th or 7th revision. I'm pretty happy with it as it fits about 95% of the prototype. We had to make a few concessions due to space limitations.
