How deep and how much detail are you looking for? You may want to see Ralph's thread about sprucing up his semi 3-d backdrop of the steel mill area, and I believe Jeffrey (Running Bear) took a DPM kit and cut it in half and made two background buildings. I also remember a kit for just this purpose... since this is no longer Z, I will search for a commercial link for that kit and post it.
