After working on a few other projects, I ordered yet another Walther's Red Wing Mill kit for my GERN facility. If you remember above, the kit I was going to use for this contest met its untimely demise. Today I started building the new kit, and while I was basically doing nothing but watching glue dry, I figured I would try to see what I could salvage out of the old kit.
Lots of sanding and Dremeling (is that even a word) later, I was able to save enough of the first kit to make a small 2-story building. My little kitbash is showing some promise right now, but we'll see how it goes. In the grand scheme of things, it might just work out to be a good addition to my facility. So, although this contest has ended, my little accident might not have been that bad after all.
