There is also a historical "footnote" connected with this. The-Gauge, started up in this white on blue format. The nickname "Big Blue" was derived from that original format, and when we moved to this new domain, we brought the old "Big Blue" back.

There are options, There are in fact four "schemes" available to members; some have a white background. Red on white is not so hard to read. Individual members are free to change this preference under the User Control Panel., that users who do not like the original format, can use.
