Started another project for my friend AG's High N' Xiety HO layout. This is Campbell's Abandoned House kit. Plans are for it to be part of an abandoned moonshine still tucked away somewhere in the Appalachian Mts. in NC.
I started by removing all wall panels and covering the backs with masking tape to add a little strength to them while I cut out all the windows and doors. I really don't like the "new" windows and doors on a 80 year old cabin, I'll see what I can do about that later in the project. I then stained everything including the stock wood for the framing in a similar solution that I did for the Woodshack Summer Challengehttp://www.the-gauge.net/forum/viewtopic...=37&t=2956. I did add a little more gray, rust and india ink, which sped up the process considerably. Looks like I will weather with a little more rust later.
Next step will be to take a wire brush and old xacto blades and scrape up the walls a bit to age it more......However, that will have to wait until after the Cowboy game!!!
