Still, this Hurricane is serious business. There is an INTENSE light show of distant lightning on my southern horizon. Cape May county in New Jersey is being totally evacuated. Apparently, a lot of the southern tip of NJ is low enough to get flooded by extreme waves.
Though the Hurricane is supposed to only be a level 2 hurricane by the time it reaches us, but it should be noted that even Level 1 hurricanes can toss 80' coast guard cutters like toys, and rip apart housing designed to take hurricanes. Structures in this part of the country aren't meant for that.
I'm banking on no more trees falling in my backyard.
