Shipbuilding Yard
#7
Lindberg makes a "Bobtail Cruiser" Kit, which is the Inshore Fire Support Ship USS Carronade IFS-1. It is close enough to be used in an N scale shipyard, and is seen here.
Just above the right end of the "tour car", the top, and part of the inside of the caisson, or gate of the drydock, can be seen.
This is part of a 2' X 4' N-scale module. The ship on the ways is the "Russian Trawler" kit from Lindberg, also close enough for N-scale. This particular shipyard is served by its own narrow gauge industrial rail line. The drydock, is used primarily for hull repairs. ( The USS Carronade model, is being "corrected", with details from plans, and photos. )
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
