Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I was far from my model railroading concerns recently! Yoru advices will be useful when I'll install a sound decoder into my new project:

Yoru idea about a second speaker in the cab looks interesting. As you can see, my 0-6-0 project use a cab with a high arched roof just as you described. You talk about a chamber, what do you mean exactly?
