Thank You all, for your comments, but, this....is the easy part ! 
Once the gearboxes arrive ( the only response I've received so far is " Don't hold your breath " ) I'll be faced with the maddening prospect of building the mechanical drive, that runs smoothly... and... "quietly ?? " 
For now, there's still a lot of things to build and add. Next up, the air line to the reservoir tanks, and back to the cab and brake stand. more twisted brass wire, and accidentally drilled finger tips :oops:
