OK, the first thing we need to know is what browser are you using? Things are a bit different between IE and say, Firefox or Chrome. Basically, they're the same functions, just in different places or names. If you're not sure, when you open it, go to "help" and at the bottom of the list, you'll see "about Internet Explorer" or "about Firefox". Click on that and you'll find the version that you are using...
