My favourite ALCo-powered road, though, is the KISKI JUNCTION, in Schenley, Pa.
I was fortunate to get a ride in their track inspection vehicle:
Here's the view from the fireman's side of the ALCo:
...and from the engineer's seat:
I was even allowed a short stint at the throttle, although the crew managed to regain control before I made a "wrong turn".
In addition to the well-maintained S-1 there's also a serviceable geep on the property:
