thanks for the input guys you will never guess what happened, i painted both of them the off white of the house with gray flooring(memory tell's me that most porches i rember floors were painted with deck enamal in navy gray in the early 60's) any way now she likes the other one . as for a roof here we often don't have a roof on the porch (my front one is roofless) so you can set out at night and see the stars
