A Pennsylvania shortline
#10
If you load Google Earth, Go to Aladdin, Pa. Unfortunately Google puts Schenley on the wrong side of the Allegheny River, We are on the east side. Once it loads if you look left you will see a dam and looking south you will see the Kiski River. You will see a railroad bridge across the Kiski, That is ours and our track runs 1 mile North up the Allegheny river and 4 miles Southeast up the Kiski river The Steel Mill is up the Kiski. Our track continues past the mill about 7/10 of a mile.
On the South side of the Kiski River is the old PRR Conemaugh line that still sees about 15 heavy trains a day, and on the west side of the Allegheny, North of Freeport is the P&S, now BP that handles a lot of coal traffic. They interchange at Freeport with NS.
By the way, the dog does his own website. www.taffylaffy.com he tells a hell of a story at times. Big Grin
