What type of scenery would you require on this backdrop, Charlie? City, country, mountains, plains, all of the above?

Remember, the backdrop is just that, a "visual" in the background, most often taken in peripherally, as "visual support" for what is goin on in front of it. You are not painting a representative protrait of George Washington, you are creating a backdrop for a model railroad. If you don't like it, you can spread a clean, fresh coat of white and start over again!

There is a short tutorial (of sorts) at the Model Railroader Magazine web site. It is a step in the right direction. But you are right ... a tutorial here on Big Blue's own Academy would be a valuable addition to the curriculum!
