If you're planning to copy the decal set which you have, I doubt that there'll be enough contrast between the stripe's colours and the background paper to give satisfactory results.
My suggestion would be to get the Microscale set which you mentioned (#87-44), but also to investigate their plain coloured decal sheets. These are solid single colour sheets, out of which you could cut the bib and wider striping. You'd need only the yellow and orange ones, and I'd guess that they'd have colours close to or the same as the O&W set which they offer. You'd probably have enough material to do more than a single locomotive, too.
