The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Good morning all. Went to breakfast, saw the gas station around the corner at $2.99. Came back from breakfast about an hour later and the price was now $3.29. Gas Buddy shows it still at $2.99 an hour ago, not true, unless they went back down again. Can't seem to trust anyone anymore.

Went to the dermatologist, a strange but fun doctor. Stands there talking to you about whatever as he finds more places to shot with his freeze gun. He decided one spot needed more than just that, so now I have a patch on my right cheek. Glad I'm not going anyplace else today. Another strange thing, I met my PCP in the parking lot, not where his office is, but he ran after me and we chatted for a while. Nice to know that he cared enough to stop and talk.

That's my story for the day, I hope you all have a nice story to tell as well.

When I was able to shoot Trap, I used to reload my 12ga shotshells, then low and behold, the cost of components rose to the point that it was cheaper to just buy ready-made shells. I sold my reloader and eventually had to give up the sport. For some reason, the gun kept putting on weight over the years. Icon_rolleyes I shoot mostly .22LR now and some 9MM and just collect the brass. I can get about enough for the spent shells at a recycler to pay for the gas to get there and back.

Ezdays here in Central Ohio we most often get everything in the same day weather wise. I have seen rain on one side of street and dry on the other. But no flakes little tiny beads looked like Styrofoam bits no accumulation ground not as cold as air yet.

Howdy Everyone,

Well the winter storm is here and we got about an inch of snow right now. Looking at the Steelers game right now it is snowing pretty good in Ohio and it's heading out way here. We have lights, flashlights and charging banks already to go just in case something would happen. As of right now the kids are on a 2hr delay but we are waiting for them to call and say it's a flex day since some of the schools in the area don't have snow days anymore.

Tomorrow will consist of model trains!!!!!! I got some polystyrene out to get a base for the one engine house since it didn't have a floor to it in the kit. Once I get that figured out and the track added I will have that sitting off to the side and will work on getting the numbers on the number boards of SW1500 #17.

Hope everyone that is getting hit with this snow storm is staying safe and warm. Remember ( firefighter coming out in me ) IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO OUT, STAY HOME my friends.

Have a good one everyone and take care.

Live steamer, in Ohio the closer to lake Erie the heavier and colder the snow is. I have family in Willard Ohio, Chelsie, CSX fans know there is a yard there. Have several railroaders In family one was an engineer for Norfolk Southern may have been a contrail employee once.

Cold here in Columbus snow flurries just enough to make roads slick. Columbus drivers lose their sense and tempers on wet and snowy roads. It is amazing how many 4 wheel drive trucks and suvs end up in a ditch because they drive faster not slower.
Not looking forward to snow removal and runny nose.

Greetings, gang.

No snow yet in the remote reaches of northern Iowa, just cloudy and cool at 28 degrees. Maybe get to 40 today and tomorrow. Then near 50 on Sunday before cooling down again.

Fairly routine day yesterday. Trip to the gym and then downloaded the app for my new coat. Not really cold enough for it yet but I'll probably need it next week when we go tree hunting in the Black Hills. With the high winds having blown themselves elsewhere I'll spend some time today gathering another herd of leaves. It's also time to put the plastic on the 6 windows in my office. Takes about 20 minutes to do all 6. Late this afternoon I'll be heading to a town about a half hour east of me for a basketball game. Another one tomorrow morning in a town about a half hour west of me.

After the gas prices spiked 40 cents on Wednesday it seems the oil companies have felt guilty so they very generously lowered the price by a whopping 2 cents. Gas was down to $2.87 yesterday.

All stay safe.

Speaking of leaves (I do, pay attention in my posts) I think Hagar may be on to something here.

Good morning folks

It is a raw 37 with the mist and wind this morning on the project site. We are supposed to get a high of 40. I heard on the radio that heading up the northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike that on the north side of the Lehigh Tunnel it is snowing and that as of 6 AM Monroe County had six inches of snow.

The last few nights have been busy around the house. We are expecting painters to come in an repair and repaint the walls in the living room and master bedroom. They were scheduled for this week but due to their current job taking longer than expected we are now looking at next week. We have been preparing for them by putting away some of the delicate things in both rooms and getting stuff out of the way. I have managed to squeeze some train time in and built a couple Accurail boxcar kits and renumber a C&EI boxcar.

Tonight, and the weekend will be spent getting ready for the painters, doing some laundry, and running errands. Depending on the time available we may start putting away the outside furniture for the season.

I hope I can run some trains. I have a bunch of cars that I need to renumber and continue assembling more boxcars.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Howdy All,

So we have gotten over 6 inches of snow and it is not slowing down at all today. I've been outside three times in the past 1-1/2 to shovel the snow. It's the heavy wet snow ( yest the best kind ) that we are getting. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe today. There are plenty of accidents here in the county I live in. They've already shut down RT. 22, RT. 422, RT. 219 and a few others.
