Thank you, Hillyard.

Greetings, gang.

More Canadian smoke this morning preventing blue skies. Today's sunshine will be heavily filter by said smoke. High in the mid 70s with light breezes.

Yesterday was fairly quiet. Menards and Walmart stops before heading to the gym. That was pretty much my activity for the day. Since today is the first Saturday of the month I'll be cleaning up the gravesites for my wife and son. Laundry of course and then a bike ride later on. I'll probably do the 17 mile ride.

All stay safe.

Sunday 7/3/25
Hello Blue.
We had an uneventful week, fewer storms and a break from the 90s. 83 for this day.
Grass needs cutting but we don't do that on Sunday. Unannounced, the city came through and planted trees between the sidewalk and the street. The entire neighborhood. They love to spend our money. Taxes are up and the water bill is up about 20 percent. No one waters their grass anymore. Last time out I saw gas at $2.89. A Pa. gas station company called Sheetz is buying and building around here, some opposition but I always found them well lite and clean.

Greetings, gang.

Sunny/smoky and 75 outside my window this afternoon.

Yesterday didn't go quite as expected. I did get the grave sites cleaned up but when I got downstairs there wasn't enough laundry to make it worth my while. Decided to get the air bubbles out of the water bed. Lost my balance and spilled some water between the mattress and the frame. Left it last night as it was getting late. This morning after the very entertaining F1 race I drained the water bed and cleaned up the spilled water. Then added water back so it's ready for tonight. Discovered I was down to my last bottle of water bed conditioner so I have more of those on the way.

Just finished up paying the bills so now I'll hop on the ol' pollution solution vehicle and drop them in the mail box or drop box as appropriate.

All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.

One more cool day before the temperature starts to heat up again. Mid to upper 80s for the remainder of the week. That's tolerable in my world but the overnight lows in the upper 60s and low 70s mean that I'll be turning the a/c on for a while.

Got the bills payed yesterday and that was about it. This morning I need to mow the yard again. Also time for the next round of fertilizer. Gonn try to get to the gym also but I may send my motivation without me.

All stay safe.

Good afternoon folks

It is 80 heading up to 84.

I am working nights for tonight and tomorrow. The contractor is setting up the next work area at the Fort Washington Toll Plaza.

I worked Saturday night into Sunday morning. The contractor removed a portion of the canopy over the toll booths and the old EZ-Pass reader gantries at the Norristown Toll Plaza. Sunday we attended my son’s fundraiser for his councilman at large campaign.

I did get some organizing done on my rolling stock. I put similar cars in bins together. Before I just had bins with 40 ft boxcars. I separated them by types such as X29, PS-1, etc. I also finished the breaking in running of the BLI PRSL B6ba 0-6-0 locomotive.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Afternoon everyone, it is a warm 81 with the high being 82. The temps are going to go up and down throughout the week. Last night it got down into the low 50's and I'm not ready for those temps just yet.

I checked my mail today and received the HOn3 gauge from Jim. It will be put to use here soon as I plan to have narrow gauge rails running around some of the mines. Nothing really has been going on in the model world for me as of yet.

Now me on the other hand, well I'm back in a walking boot from injuring my right ankle again at youth baseball this past season. I go back to the doctor on the 21st of this month and we will sit down and talk to see what me ( more the doctor ) wants to do. Either I'm stuck in the walking boot longer or there is a chance he has to reopen my ankle back up. At this point though from the amount of surgeries and everything, the ligaments and tendons will just continue to tear apart.

Hope everyone else is have a great start to their week. Take Care

Greetings, gang.

60 under smoky but otherwise clear skies this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Supposed to hit 80 today and near 90 for the next couple of days. Chances for rain tomorrow and over the coming weekend.

Productive day yesterday. Got the yard mowed along with associated activities (trimming, cleaning sidewalks). Then a trip to the gym. After lunch I made a grocery run and the put the next batch of fertilizer on the lawn. Then got a shower, grabbed a pizza, and went to visit some long time friends. All in all a pretty decent day. Only item penciled in for today is a bike ride this morning before it gets too hot.

Tom - thanks for the video.

Matt - hope all goes well with your foot.

All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.

Thunder, lightning, and rain outside my window this morning. 67 now going to maybe the mid 80s later on.

Yesterday was pretty quiet. Rode the bike for 17 miles in the morning and then went to the new Naked Gun movie yesterday afternoon. Funny from start to finish. It's one of those movies you could watch a dozen times and see something new each time. Some jokes were on screen for maybe 2 seconds. Lot of fun.

Was taking with a friend about replacing my car and he asked how many miles I have on this one. The mileage turned put to be a palindrome - 092290.

All stay safe.

Hello gang of good people.

I too got my grass cut yesterday and that will be it until we get some rain. I cut it a little longer because we are pretty dry here finally. I then put the laundry away and cooked supper. after supper I took an hour long nap then went to the train barn where I succeeded in breaking 2 cast metal floors for roundhouse cabs.  I will have to see what I can do about making then from styrene because the metal is bowed and showing signs of rot.

I think I will take it easy today.

Good afternoon folks

Current temperature is 76 with overcast skies. Supposedly we are at our high for the day.

Today is my recovery day after working two nights. I am just taking it easy. I have an appointment with the urologist later today. Trying to figure why I am straining more than I did a few months ago.

Last night was interesting. We had our first accident in an active work zone. Car rolled through a stop sign and touched another car. No damage to either so they went merrily on their way. Then a tractor trailer broke down in the area where they were installing temporary concrete barrier. Once they determined the truck was not going to start they used the gradall that was installing the barrier to drag the truck out of the work area.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 71 in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. The NWS is calling for some slight chances of rain but I have doubts about that. High in the upper 80s.

Yesterday was a day of doing nothing. Biggest projects were charging my phone and rolling the trash can out to the curb. Today isn't looking much better. Only item on the chalk board is a bike ride.

Gas is $2.91.

All stay safe.
