Anyone use this stuff for detailing their steam locomotive's side rods, valve gear and drivers? Pros or cons?

Yes...I have..works great....but beware, it is electrically conductive....so don't allow it to cross any insulated bits.

And don't get any on the wheel treads. They will slip, and also spread NeoLube all over your track... Don't ask how I know this...

Andrew (MasonJar) - you seem to be located in Ottawa. Just wondering where you got your Neolube? US retailers won't ship it across the border, and I've never seen it for sale anywhere.

They wouldn't ship it to me here in southern Ontario, either, so I had it sent to an American friend and picked it up when I visited. I had a bunch of other stuff in the order, too, so I saved quite a bit on the shipping cost: it probably payed for half a tank of gas, and I would have visited the friend anyway.

It's been a while since I picked it up, but I believe it was Larkspur Line in Merrickville.
