"I used water paint at the black loading dock cover. It looks ok on the layout but the closeup looks awful."
I don't know Reinhard,it looks pretty natural to me.Oviously it has been there exposed to the weather for quite some time.

The neighbor building has a similar loading dock. I weathered it with powder and dull coat prior to assembly. The more intense weathering of the other one one is ok but I do not like the brush strokes.

Reinhard, are those doors, decking plates, and door seals from a kit or separately available?

They are from Cornerstone warehouse kits. Both structures are kit bashed Cornerstone kits.
e.g. this two Cornerstone "Central Beverage Distributors" and "Modern Warehouse w/Trackside Loading Doors"

Looks really good, you should also try to build a big menu board with a speaker where the grayish car is so people can order then pull up to the window maybe even a low clearance bar across the drive thru so no vehicles hit the awning at the window similar to this http://viewpointsign.com/gallery2/main. ... alNumber=2

Thanks for reminding me. It was not in the kit and I was about to forget it. The photos are very helpful.

Looking great Reinhard. Is that the Woodland Scenics road making system you've used?
I've tried it myself, and I just can't get the stuff to be smooth. I've always got un-even surfaces, airbubbles etc...
