Hi Charlie---great work so far---I'm really looking forward to see 7135 again when completed

I got the gold paint on the body and trucks. I have to do the hand rails, both colors. The shell is just sitting on the frame for a test fit. I used black plastic electrical tape to mask and I am impressed with the nice crisp edge it made.

I sense that the electrical tape is about to make a reappearance to make the black stripe! Nice paint work, Charlie! Nice to see that the Kiski lives again!

Todd, I have the decals for the stripe already printed. It will be a while before I put them on and I hope they work, if not I have to paint the stripe and letter it the hard way. I put the lettering on the stripe.

I just got another of the heritage locomotives. I picked up a new Wabash at a good price from E bay. It is from Walthers.  It will need some grabs added when I get time but I think it is a nice looking unit.

Yeah, I thought the NS did a great thing painting all 20 of those locomotives, and I loved the shot of all of them together. There's a nice website dedicated to all of them here: https://www.wvncrails.org/norfolk-southe...tives.html

The Wabash paint scheme is one of my favorites. Looks like Walthers did a great job with it. Nice find Charlie.

I have photographed all of them as well as the veterans unit and 911. I have photographed several of the 4000 series horses and the locomotive for the first responders train. My favorite is the NS heritage version.

Matt, I have been putting the decals on the S1 but I am going to have to find numbers that will work. I have lots of decals that I will never use so some of these will be donors. Worse case I will have to have a set custom made. I did do that for the KJR Box cars.

I was lucky enough to find the NS veterans unit for sale on Ebay.  A dandy addition.
