The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Good morning everyone. I agree with Jim, I have a few things to do in my garage, but it's not even 5:00 in the morning and it's 93 in there, hotter than outside. I think the builder saved a few bucks by not insulating the garage. There is none in the attic above it and I doubt that there's any in the outside walls either. The last two houses we had built new, that was an option that I gladly paid extra for. That's OK for now, I still can't spend too much time standing anyway.... High temps today are again forecast at 110. This is crazy. I'd like to go out target shooting, but not with this heat. Still 100+ until the end of next week.

No change in gas prices, Costco and Sam's refuse to budge to the competition, There's an ARCO station on US60 at $2.97 (cash only), eight cents cheaper than Costco, and 12 cents from most who are at $3.09. I just checked egg prices, I meant to get a dozen while I was at Walmart yesterday. I see where a dozen large eggs are going anywhere from $3.62 (Walmart brand), to $6.12 (Pasture raised). Buying eggs now days is like an investment, I'm sure someone on eBay is selling eggs at a $1.00 each and there'll be buyers.

Take care, a prayer for those in the path of Helene, that's a lot of destruction.

Hello Blue
Just checking in.
The weekend was quiet here. I watched some football but missed not having the buckeyes on TV to watch. Watched the Lions win last night.
Home from an early doctor appointment, Gas was $3.39 at every station I passed. We have sun and 74 but rain is supposed to be headed this way.
Some of my friends on another forum I follow have been absent since the storm. One of them in NC did post this morning that they were ok but no electricity.

Greetings, gang.

46 and clear outside my window this morning. Supposed to get to 80 later on. No rain in sight for the next week at least.

Not much going on around here. Still battling the remnants of my cold. Seems to take longer nowadays to recover. Also limping a little. Jammed my toe the other day and it's still pretty painful.

All stay safe.

Good morning all, boy-oh-boy Tom, your high is lower than our low. 84 yesterday and highs still over the 110 mark. I don't believe in global warming, but Mother Nature is putting up a good front for those who do believe. I really can't complain about the weather though after seeing the devastation from hurricane Helene. So far I do not see the influx of snowbirds, maybe they got the memo, many have homes here and there (wherever "there" is), some bring their RV's or trailers and have spots in RV parks to park them for the winter. These parks are getting fewer and fewer as owners sell out to developers.

I'm trying to get back on my challenge project, doing what I can while sitting even though my doctor told me I need to stand more. We'll see what works best, my approach or his....

Take care, enjoy the day and by all means, stay safe. Icon_e_biggrin

SWMBO took me to the doctor to have my cough checked out. Minor change to meds. While there they said that the flu shot had just come in so we had that as well.
I had meds taken once, twice and three times a day. I now have one four or five times a day as well.

The vet had phoned that there was a new requirement on rabies shots for cats (and dogs?) due to some bat being found with rabies. So she came over to deal with Marco.

Greetings, gang.

More sunshine and low humidity. 77 for the high today. Still no rain in the extended forecast. The farmers are loving it. Plenty of time to get the harvest in.

Routine day yesterday. Paid the bills so I can sty in the house for another month. Also picked up a few groceries. After that was done I took my moped over to a friend's house to show him. His wife is out of town and he has some memory issues (NOT dementia) caused by some kind of virus several years ago. I had volunteered to check on him while she was gone.

Today I need to get out and start collecting leaves. This evening my granddaughter that is running for office will participate in a forum with the other candidate so I will show up for that.

Gas was $2.89 yesterday and eggs were $3.47.

All stay safe.

Hello Blue
Sun and maybe 70 for the day.
Only plans for the day is take wife to the skin doctor and pull out the tomato plants. What's left can ripen in the house. I finally heard from a friend in eastern NC. They have no power, no internet and phone service is spotty.

Good morning, Blue!

Came across this video about Miniatur Wunderland on another forum.
I was aware of it already, but don't expect I will be in Germany any time soon.

That being said, the latest addition seems to be the F1 racing circuit at Monaco.  Amazing they have worked this out, with about 60 independently controlled HO F1 racecars!

Good morning folks

It is 68 and heading up to 75. Supposed to be nice through the weekend.

I just found out that the Philadelphia Water Department expects the dam project will be going on for the next six months. We were supposed to be done back at the end of August.

I have seen gas prices ranging from $3.11 down to $2.82. I may need to take a run down Delaware and see how low they are down there.

This weekend we are planning on putting up the outside Halloween decorations. The first thing I need to do is find all the extension cords. I sure a trip to the local Ace Hardware will be required to fetch something that is needed for the decorations. I am also sure a trip to the grocery store will be needed. Need to keep working on that pesky laundry. We need to clear out some stuff from our master bedroom so that we can have a couple of contractors come in and look at the wall damage from the chimney liner collapse and subsequent water damage.

I am hoping to run some trains. I want to build some of the rolling stock kits that have recently arrived. Another thig I need to work on is organizing my rolling stock. I am not happy with the bins and categorizing I am currently using. Sometimes I am having difficulty locating certain pieces of rolling stock and getting the bins out can be a chore.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Greeting, gang.

Sunny and 90 today, 70 tomorrow. Goofy Iowa weather. Winds over 35 mph will create a fire danger today.

Well, it's the first Saturday of the month so I will be going to the cemetery this morning to tend to the graves for my wife and son. Also the usual laundry. I need to make a trip to Walmart for some cough suppressant. My abdomen muscles are really sore from this ongoing cough. This afternoon is college football and tomorrow is 1st communion for one of the great-grandsons followed by middle school football in the afternoon.

Gas was $2.89 at some stations and $3.09 at others.

All stay safe.

Hello Blue
I watched football yesterday, 1 win, 2 losses. Gas is still $3.39 most places, eggs are so high I refuse to buy them.

Good afternoon folks

High today is 73 up from the current 69.

Saturday was a nice day and we took advantage of it. We worked on the outside Halloween decorations. We have all of them up except for the ones we put out Halloween night. My wife was also able to transplant some plants from smaller pots to larger pots. All this only required one trip to the local Ace hardware for potting soil and a couple strings of lights.

Later in the evening I was able to organize some tank cars and coil cars, adding in some new acquired cars. I cleared off the cars from the last time I ran trains. I got out an older Proto 2000 FA1 and FB1 set and ran them for a hour or so slowly adding cars until the train consisted of 10 cars.a

Sunday was another nice day. We ran to Target and the grocery store. We worked on getting some laundry. We have been separating my wife’s clothing by size recently to figure out what she can still wear. Since her weight loss many of her things are now too big.

I continue running the FA1 and FB1. I added another 10 cars to the train bringing the total to 20 cars. The locos are easily handling the train. I did some more organizing of some covered hoppers.

Today when I get home, I have some laundry to finish and help my wife sort some of her clothing. I need to search for a couple of missing Halloween decorations.

I am hoping to run trains and add some more cars to the train.

I hope everybody has a good.

Some sun but chilly. 47/60s for the day. #1 son cut the grass for us yesterday afternoon, I noticed some leaves are falling already.
Wife is discharged from PT. seems to be improving. I shall be heading out soon.
