Greetings, gang.
It's gonna be a nice, bright, sunshiney day. 6 now and 31 for the high. Serious warm up starting tomorrow with highs in the 40s to near 50 in the coming week.
Not much to report here. Spending some time on the phone with one of my daughters. She's planning a party for my 80th next year. I just get to write a few checks now and then.
Mikey - I'll have to look in on that race. I keep forgetting about it. Generally the only racing i watch is F1 which starts this year in the middle of March.
All stay safe.

Hello Blue
We have sun @ 26 degrees, not changing much from there today. Yesterday's hi of 35 melted some snow. I can see patches of grass here and there.
Didn't do much yesterday, just sat around, I miss college football already. Wife's not feeling well this morning.

Greetings, gang.
Another sunny day underway in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. Currently 15 headed for 47 (so "they" say) with winds near 30 mph.
Several mild days predicted for the coming week. I was given the privilege of ordering decorations for my birthday party next year. We found what they liked and rather than hope they would still be available I get to store them somewhere for the next 18 months, along with anything else my daughters think of.
Only plan for today is a trip to the gym. Afterwards I'll fire up my trusty space heater and spend the afternoon on the porch, reading and watching the world go by.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
What a difference a week makes. Above is last Tuesday's weather. This morning it's 22 headed for sunny skies and 54 degrees. The only drawback will be the 25-35 mph winds.
Routine trip to the gym followed by an afternoon if sitting on the front porch with the aid of my trusty space heater. Today will be much the same.
All stay safe.

27 under clear skies this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. 52 with increasing cloudiness is the forecast. Fortunately I won't be having the high winds from Tuesday so it should be another in a string of really nice days.
Did some grocery and sundry shopping yesterday morning and then took a 2 mile walk in the afternoon. This morning I plan to swim for a half mile and then wash the car this afternoon. The car washes around here don't really seem to get the car clean
Eggs were down to $4.17 yesterday. Quite a drop from last week's $5.99
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
Yet another sunny day in progress this morning. 38 now going to the mid to upper 40 this afternoon but with 25 mph winds it won't be quite s nice as yesterday's 60 degrees.
I swam for 3/4 of a mile yesterday and then got the car washed after lunch. The forecast said it was supposed to get cloudy but the clouds didn't arrive until much later than I had planned so I had to take a little extra time to get the water spots off the car on the side that was in the sun. Skippi9ng the gym this morning. I plan to go back to scraping the the basement walls before painting. Hopefully I can finish scraping and do some patching today.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
30 with maybe the low 40s for a high but breezy again with winds near 35 mph. 50s tomorrow then below freezing for most of next week.
Had an attack of lazies and skipped the gym yesterday but I did get some work done in the basement. Hopefully more progress in the next few days and then I'll be able to paint the walls in my shop. Watched on line as one of my nieces performed in a dance competition in Denver. I was all set to watch another of my nieces lat night but the live feed died just before she was due to perform. More dances today so hopefully the live feed is repaired. About a half dozen different dances to be performed today.
All stay safe.

We took a bit of a trip with the refurbished car today. St Jacobs (west and north) for muffins. Good roads all the way. Then Paris (west and south) to crafts (not MR) store. Roads good until we turned off the expressway past Kitchener when the roads became snow-covered plus ice. The car became quite covered with dirty slush about halfway up the doors.
Home trip was on a road that looked like it had a lot of ice cover.

Happy Ground Hog Day, gang.
It's quite foggy this morning outside my wind in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Visibility is down to about a block. 32 at the moment supposedly going to around 50 later on. Upper 30s tomorrow then below freezing for the next several days.
Laundry and a quick trip to the grocery store yesterday morning then I spent the afternoon watching a couple of great nieces in dance competitions in Denver.
Also texting with their mom (my niece) while watching. Gotta love the internet, cell phones, and live streaming.
This morning looks to be fairly quiet but after lunch I need to re-wash the car. I washed it Thursday but then on the way home from supper with a friend there was a light mist/rain that negated my efforts. Supposed to be dry for the next several days so hopefully this time the car will stay clean for more than a few hours.
All stay safe.

Good morning
After 39 days in 2 different hospitals and one rehab center we were able to bring my wife home. She still is in a wheel chair but she has come a long way, but still a long way to go. Thanks for your wishes and concerns. I still have limited time for updating so will remain partially inactive but will drop in when I can sneak a minute
