Greetings, gang.

The big warm up has begun! Sunny and 38 at the moment headed for the low 50s. Upper 40s to near 60 during the upcoming week.

Saturday I watched dance competition for a couple of nieces on line. Yesterday was a day of rest. This morning I'm heading to Des Moines for some shopping in the "big city."

All stay safe.

Good morning folks

It is a balmy 42 along the Schuylkill River this morning. It is supposed to make its way to 50 today. We are supposed to have highs in the 50’s until Friday.

Worked overtime on Saturday. When I got home I did some laundry while my wife and daughter went out and ran some errands. I spent some time researching flights for our cruise this fall. At first I was not happy with the costs and schedule but eventually I found something that was satisfactory.

On Saturday, I assembled a couple of Accurail kits. On the layout I want to work on expanding the city. This means I need to clear off an area that has become something of a storage area. I also had a bunch of rolling stock just laying around. I started to organize and put the rolling stock into bins. I tuned up about 12 Intermountain tank cars.

Sunday was more laundry. I helped the wife move the couch and clean behind it. She was surprised how clean it was. I reminded her that I cleaned behind it a couple of weeks ago as a result of searching for lost dog and cat toys. My wife and I went to the UPS Store to drop off a package and then to the grocery store. We were going to have breakfast for dinner but my son interrupted us and purchased Chinese food for us instead. We finally got our airline tickets for our vacation. We will be flying out of Philadelphia and not Newark, NJ as we originally thought we were going to have to do.

Sunday, I continued organizing and placing rolling stock in bins. I also inventoried some Accurail Steel reefer kits and a new RF&P GP35 locomotive. I didn’t get to run any trains.

I need to run to the pharmacy after work and pick up some prescriptions. I now have a new shower head that I need to install in our master bathroom. Then there is more laundry to fight with. I would like to work some more on time reorganizing the rolling stock.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Charlie,

I hope you are doing okay and each day you feel better and better.
A week in the hospital for flu is pretty rugged.

Jim,
having had hernia surgery myself, eventually the cure gets better than the disease.
Go easy on the pain killers if you can.

All, take care & enjoy your trains !

The thieves weren't very gentle with the models.  One was found by the side of the road.

That stinks!!!!

Greetings, gang.

32 at the moment under partly cloudy skies. Mid 50s for a high again today.

Yesterday was a good day. Had a successful trip to Des Moines. All items on my list procured. The new office chair is supposed to be delivered by Mar. 10th This morning I need to hit Walmart for a few things. Then a trip to the gym for swimming and maybe a walk outdoors this afternoon.

All stay safe.

Hello Blue
Quiet here. Only news is the weather. Looks like we will slide out of February without a major storm. 50 degrees yesterday, the same for today.
Just checkin in.

Greetings, gang.

32 again this morning with a predicted high in the low to mid 50s. Near 60 tomorrow but winds over 45 mph. 20 degrees colder for Saturday.

Quiet day yesterday and today looks to be the same. Gym this morning and if I get the motivation I may wash the car this afternoon.

All stay safe.

Hi gang
Just a brief update.  I am still under the watchful eye of my daughter and slowly improving. I have a telehealth visit with my PCP Sat. to go over all the medications I am on and hopefully eliminate some of them.  I allready had one reaction.

I talked with Wayne last night and he is well, going to a hobby shop in St Catherine often and enjoying some walks around town. He sounds very well and we are hoping for a summer visit

Nothing else to report.

Greetings, gang.

Hang on to your toupee today. Sustained winds around 30 mph with gusts over 45 mph. Couple that with temps in the mid to upper 50s and low humidity and you have a red flag day. Then a front comes through tonight and drops the temperature to 19 for an overnight low with a high tomorrow in the low to mid 30s. The temperature is supposed to bounce back to the mid 40s again by Sunday.

In other news there is no other news. Upset stomach yesterday so I took a day off from the world. Still a little queasy this morning. We'll see how the day goes.

Charlie - glad to hear you're improving.

All stay safe.

Happy March, gang.

After yesterday's high of 55 it's currently 16 with a predicted high in the low 30s. 40s and 50s starting tomorrow through the next week. Gotta love spring weather!

Spent another quiet day yesterday. Started feeling better late yesterday afternoon and this morning I'm back to feeling "normal" whatever that is. Only item on the agenda for today is my typical Saturday activity- laundry.

Gas continues to fall. Down to $2.79.

All stay safe.
