Clouds and a cold 31° here in the now famed town of East Palestine. It may get to 41°.
Gas if fluctuating between 3.19 and 3.79 on a 12mile stretch of RTE 14.
I have no plans once again, but I am getting better. I am gaining strength in my legs but my arms still need a lot more exercise to get them back.
Praying for everyone to be safe.

Greetings, gang.
Sunny and 36 headed for sunny and 56 later on. The NWS is claiming near 80 for Friday then back to the 40s by Sunday.
Quiet day yesterday. I did get in trips to 4 different grocery stores to stock up for a while. When I got to the gym yesterday I discovered the pool is closed for maintenance so I just went upstairs to sweat a lot. With the warmer weather and light breezes I'll probably just skip the gym and head out on the bike for a while.
Gas was $2.99 yesterday when I was out and eggs were $5.99 a dozen.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
Sunny and 31 headed to double that by this afternoon. Gradually warmer through Friday then cooler again through the weekend.
Pool was still closed so I just rode the bike yesterday afternoon. I did discover that the front brake was too tight so I loosened. Unfortunately I loosened it too much so I'll have to fix that today. Also on the to do list is a trip to the gym for resistance and other sweating since the pool is still closed.
All stay safe.

Good morning everyone. Well bipolar mother nature just does not want to give up winter I guess. I got up around 4 this morning to snow on the ground, houses, and cars. It is still coming down at a good pace. I don't think we are going to see spring here in the western part of PA anytime soon if this keeps up. So my plans for today are to stay inside and work on the two cabooses I have and get them ready for decals. Then I have to go to the high school and drop my daughters softball equipment off to her, then turn around and go get the fiance from work. We will come home for a little bit then go get our daughter, drop her off at the house and head to a baseball meeting.
So the first part of the day is calm, just the afternoon and evening are busy for us here. Other than that, I hope you all have a good day and if you're getting snow today, stay warm.
Take care my friends.

WEDNESDAY 3/26/25
Hello Blue.
We have sun @ 30 degrees. A high in the 40s is expected. Spring is being very stubborn this year. Northern half of Mich. still getting snow. I put our dog sled away when Walmart took down the hitching post. No plans for the day. Saturday eve I did go to the clubhouse. Ran a diesel with some of my son's beer boxcars. A check I wrote and mailed on the 6th was finally posted at the credit card bank yesterday. I wonder how many sorting stations/cities it went through.

I just saw that we have a nasty weather warning for the weekend -- ice. This will play havoc with the Doubleheaders' layout tour.
Saw the eye inspector today. No significant change for either of us.

Greetings, gang.
Sunny and 50 headed for sunny and the mid 60s. 80 tomorrow and 40 by Sunday.
Had a decent workout at the gym yesterday. Still mot able to use the pool. They are working overhead so there is scaffolding set up right in the pool. I suggested to the gym staff that they are missing a bet. They should let people swim, charge and extra buck or two, and call it an obstacle course. Today will be continued work on the brakes for my bike. I may have to get new pads.
More interesting dreams...
First feature - I was known as a thief (similar to Cary Grant in "To Catch A Thief") and was being chased by a guy with an obsession to catch me (similar to "Catch Me If You Can") and he had me cornered in a chocolate shop. While he and the owner were distracted I was able to get away. I wandered through the local downtown area, a lot of which was torn up for construction.
Second feature - i was in a park and my wife was nearby when I came across a former boss who was also a scuba diver who did underwater search and rescue. Chatted with him for a while and then we walked across some rocks to a building that was in the middle of the lake.
I woke up after the second dream and couldn't get back to sleep so I came downstairs about 3:30 and read for about an hour and a half before I could get back to sleep. Woke up again sometime after 8. Running really late today.
All stay safe.
Tom
Edit to add: SJ - I had the same thing happen to me earlier this month. Mailed the check on the 3rd of March and i was posted on the 18th. I also had a number of other checks I mailed that had a longer than usual time in the hands of the postal service. This particular check was for a credit card and because of the delay by the postal service I wound up having to pay a $29 late fee and almost $4 in interest.

Good morning
It is 46° and sunny in southeast Ohio. Gas was 2.89 yesterday.
Tom, when I was in the hospital and ICU I had a nightmare that was so real I fought the team that was trying to get me conscious. The dream was so real I went the next 5 days without sleep for fear of having it again. The dream involved me being in an ambulance that had wrecked and was upside down over an embankment and it also involved a friend that has been an EMT. Every time we were rescued the ambulance would wreck again, just like the Groundhog Day movie. The doctor was in the fifth day and he knew I would not sleep, and I told him the reason. He told me I would sleep that night. Man did I sleep.
I just spent an hour getting my electric account corrected. They wanted me to change passwords but the code they sent email was not coming through even though the email about the bill was. Lady tried to tell me I had not changed my email address. (It is never their error)
Good day all

FRIDAY 3/28/25
Hello Blue
Today will be in the hi 60s, but we will pay a price. Storms are in the forecast for afternoon.
Tigers and the Red Wings lost yesterday. My wife watches the Wings, I just follow the score.
Gas has jumped about 40 cents, pushing the price back up to around $3.40.

Greetings, gang.
Cloudy and 41 at the moment but the NWS is claiming a high in the mid 50s. 84 was yesterday's high and tomorrow's high is only scheduled to be in the low 40s. Rain chances anywhere from 40% to 100% every day between now and Wednesday with the exception of Monday.
Tried riding the bike yesterday morning but gave up after 3 miles as it was just too windy (40+ mph). Went to the gym and had a decent workout. After lunch I put new brake pads on my bike. Late in the afternoon the wind died down considerably so I was able to finish my bike ride. Laundry today and a play this evening where one of my great-grandsons is involved.
Gas here is up to $3.19
All stay safe.

Good Morning
It is 63° and light rain here. I hope to get to the train barn today. I am feeling much better but still very weak.
I finally got my treadmill set up yesterday and managed to do a whole 400 feet. I know it isn't much but I can feel it this morning.
I am finally off of the prescription drugs, just a couple vitamins and a potassium supplement.
I got some clover seeds that I intend to spread through the grass. I hope the clover will feed the bees tha live around here. the claim is it will take over and it doesn't grow as fast as the grass so maybe I will spend les time mowing.
Stay safe
