Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 48 headed for maybe the mid 60s.  Good chance for storms tomorrow.

Soccer was colder than expected yesterday but fun overall.  Nothing on the agenda for today unless the weather warms up enough.  I may take the moped out for a cruise.  I got an email from YouTube advertising something new on their so-called Zen channel and to be sure and tune in on April 23.  I got the email on...April 24th. Nope

All stay safe.

That happens to me all the time.  I don't know why it takes so long for an email to come through....

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 50 degrees this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Supposed to get to the low 60s and the wind is supposed to die down. Yesterday was an early taste of summer with a high of 81 but with very strong winds. There was a brief thunderstorm around 10 last night but nothing serious. A front cam through and dropped the temperature 10 degrees in a matter of minutes.

Had a decent workout yesterday and then got in a bike ride yesterday afternoon. The ride was mainly to verify that robocop had been moved. I'll be e-mailing the local constabulary today to ask where the speeding ticket dispenser is located. They claim they will keep us posted on its location but frequently fail to update the website until someone (aka me) reminds them.

All stay safe..

Greetings, gang.

The clouds are back along with a 50% chance of some light rain later on. 46 now going to the low 60s later.

Made a trip to the grocery store yesterday morning and after lunch I got the leftover leaves from last fall cleaned up and then mowed for the first time this season. Once the ground dries out from all the rain I'll need to run the edger and reclaim the sidewalks. Trip to the gym this morning and a concert for the great-grandkids this evening.

I took the moped out yesterday to verify that the robocop was still missing. When I got home I check the city's website and they had actually updated the location without a reminder from me.

Gas was $2.86 when I was out and about yesterday.

All stay safe.

Good Morning

Currently 50° with a sunny 66° predicted for the high.  We had storms yesterday and lost power twice,
once for less than a minute and once for 5 minutes. The worst part went around us.  My BIL had the neighbors
panel from his porch blown into their bedroom window and broke it.

I am still working on the O gauge cars that I am gifting a friend. I had to make all the decals which was the
time consumer.  All of these companies were once a part of my home town of East Liverpool, Ohio, the pottery capital of the world
My G G grandfather had his own pottery but it did not do well. He lost it in the 1890's.  Many other potteries survived until the late 50"s
when foreign imports of china and plastic dinnerware made it hard to compete.  Home Laughlin is the only local pottery still in
business, making Fiesta Ware, very popular and quite collectable.

The breweries took a real hit during prohibition with Crockery City making and selling ice and milk products. I remember the ice
man delivering us ice. We did not get a real refrigerator until we moved to the house my parents and grand parents built in 1947.

Happy May Day, gang.

Guess what? It's cloudy, again or still I'm not sure. Some light sprinkles in the area proving to be a nuisance rather than a threat. 65 for the high today.

Decent workout at the gym yesterday then a 9 mile bike ride. I also took in 19 rolls of 35mm film to be developed. Since they are more than 20 years old it will be interesting to see what develops (see what I did there?). Nothing much on the agenda for today.

Gas jumped to $2.99 yesterday.

All stay safe.

OK, that was bizarre. Just had a guy come to the door wanted to talk to my wife about Medicare supplement. Showed me a form with her name and our phone number saying that someone filled it out. Apparently that same someone forgot to mention that my wife passed away 10 years ago.

Good after noon

As the sayin goes....The wind blew and the XXXXX.  windy, warm an a thunderstorm warning until 7 PM with even higher winds a possibility.

It is now 81° and rain is predicted for every day for the next week.  The cheapest gas according to gasbuddy is 2.99.

I made data decals for the O gauge cars I am working on and they are applied. I have to spay them with dulcoat and that project is finished. I think I accidently discovered the trick to printing the decals. I have been printing a 600 DPI and I used the email option to send a test print to the printer and the highest resolution was 150 DPI.  They turned out without any ink running so I printed the actual decals at that resolution and they are the best so far.

Tom, is it possible that that form was filled out over 10 years ago?  Stranger yet is someone coming to the door instead of a phone call or email.

      Everyone is pretty quiet here.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy this morning and 47 degrees. Maybe the upper 60s and some light showers later this afternoon.

Did my first 12 mile bike ride of the season yesterday and surprisingly no protest from my muscles this morning. Only items on the agenda for today are a trip to the gym and a "living wax museum" at the middle school. Each child memorizes facts about a person from history. Then the visitor pushes and paper "button" pinned to the child's shirt. The child then recites the facts about the historic person. Last time I went to this with my grandson we had a lot of fun with the kids pushing the button after they started, thus requiring them to restart. I will say the kids handle it very well.

Charlie - I saw the form the guy claimed "someone" filled out and it was definitely not my wife's handwriting. My guess is he filled it out himself. If I had been thinking quickly (something I've never been accused of) I would have said "She's not here but I can take you to her." Her grave is directly across the street from a sports bar. He would be thinking she works there until I point out her headstone.

All say safe.
