Good morning/ late evening, whatever. It is half past midnight here. I just finished in the train room.
I have 4 new old stock round house cabooses that I am painting for Lehigh Valley (I know the body designs are not prototypical). Sadly the cast pot metal bottoms all all bent and unusable. I broke 2 trying to straighten them so I will have to reinforce and JB Weld them if I can, if not I will try to fabricate some from old Tyco cabooses I have in the storage boxes. The third one I used my Harbor Freight heat gun on it for 5 minutes and I was able to straighten it. I should have tried that on the others, but live and learn.
I got good news from my PCP today. My PSA dropped from .67 to .5, the first time it has dropped without and radiation since I was diagnosed 12 years ago. I told her I was using the Ivermectin horse wormer and she told me how they are doing studies on this drug and it is working for a lot of cancers and many other diseases. She printed me out a 50 page report she had recently got that describes many of the cancers they are currently trying this on. She said she thought this just might be an overlooked miracle drug. She also told me she has had pharmacies refuse to fill prescriptions for it. (I get mine from Chewy). I also got a shot in each shoulder hoping to ease some of the clickity clack when I move my arms. (I am hoping Medicare will start covering the stem cell injections that rebuild the cartilage in the joints
I found a donor caboose that will be a model of KJR 5, ex P&LE bay window caboose. We cut 6 extra 2x3 foot windows in each side and installed seats and tables for a passenger car.
I still need to make one transfer caboose and it looks like I will have to scratch build a N&W C3 caboose to finish out the Kiski fleet
It is a clear 68° with a possible 90 tomorrow, and gas is 2.99
Have a grand weekend
Charlie

Hello Blue
Sun this morning. Hi of 87 for the day.
Grass is cut, without any recent rain it looks a little brownish. We are not weekly shoppers so when we do go it's a big load. $280.00 and we forgot bread.

Greetings, gang.
77 with 91% humidity and rain on the way.
Nothing accomplished yesterday other than a lot of reading in the throne room. Today I need to get they yard mowed if the rain holds off long enough. I don't want to start too early on a Saturday when it's so quiet and the neighbors are all still asleep.
All stay safe.

It's Sunday morning here and we had a nice day.
I finally got some work done that has been nagging at me for a while. I put new sway br bushings in our motorhome and move 5 rubber stall mts to the back yard next to the shed I am putting them in. it has a dirt floor and these were cheaper and easier than concrete.
I also put the red paint on the model of the KJR 5, I also got the floor in one of the Lehigh Valley cabooses and I should be able to finish it over the week end.
Good night everyone

Greetings, gang.
Some high thin clouds creating a pink sunrise this morning. Currently 62 headed for about 20 degrees north of that. After the half inch of rain yesterday morning it looks like the rain is over for a few days.
I was able to get the yard mowed yesterday without resorting to getting the bailer out of the shed. That's about the only thing accomplished yesterday. This morning I need to make trips to a couple of grocery stores.
Gas is down to $2.67.
All stay safe.

Hi gang
It is still Monday for a few more minutes.
We had a hot day today. First thing this morning I washed my F150 that has been collecting tree sap and dust for almost a year. When nI finished that it was time to make breakfast, and after that I worked on my mower shed and got the mowers put away. I took it easy during the 90 degree day and after supper I washed the Maverick so I am proud of my accomplishments. Every day gets a little better.
My sons Lionel Texas Special ABA set was delivered today, It took him 2 vendors but he gat a good deal from Ebay. I think that puts him over 80 F3's. He is out of room so he is planning a 30x60 pole barn so he can build for wide radius curves. He loves all trains but Lionel is his bag. My other 2 boys are into HO and my daughter just rolls her eyes

Happy national Left Handers Day, gang.
60 and more high thin clouds/smoke. Maybe the low 80s later on.
Yesterday was pretty quiet. 14 miles on the pollution solution vehicle in the morning. Then a shower followed by Freakier Friday in the afternoon. Very funny movie although in some spots it seemed like Jamie Lee Curtis was pushing being a teenager just a little too hard. There were about 30 people in the theater but I was the only guy. Gym this morning but no other plans so far.
All stay safe.

Good morning Blue.
I got nothing for you, just checking in. Todays Hi will be mid 80s. Gas has gone up here. Back to $3.39. We did all our errands in 1 trip the other day. Stopped at a Dollar store, they are no longer a Dollar store, that's for sure. Club meets will begin for the season next month but the clubhouse is still open on Fridays.

Greeting, gang.
72 already headed for the upper 80s today and 90s for the weekend.
Slept much better last night. 7.5 hours. No major (or minor) accomplishments yesterday as I was waiting for a delivery. Of course the delivery showed up at 5 PM. Day wasted. I'll be heading out shortly for a bike ride before it gets too hot and breezy. Then I need to mow the lawn. This afternoon will find me waiting for another delivery. Then will begin numerous trips to Menards for paint and supplies. Time to redecorate the living room with some lighter colors. Also pulling up the carpet and going with area rugs over the original oak flooring.
Gas here got its usual midweek boost, jumping 20 cents to $2.89.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
Cloudy and 74 with 99% humidity. High in the 90s with very high humidity. Heat index over 100.
Productive day yesterday. Got the yard mowed, took a bike ride, and trimmed the bushes along the sidewalk. I also got the rear derailleur adjusted on the bike but decided not to take it for a test ride due to some rain in the area. I made a wise choice as about 15 minutes later we had a thunderstorm with lots of lightning, wind thunder, and 3/4 inch of rain in a rather short time. I did get one of the two area rugs I was expecting yesterday. Hopefully the other will arrive today or Monday.
In other news I had an entertaining dream last night. I had ordered three area rugs for the living room and two had showed up. True to this point. Here's where it goes off the rails. The third one arrived the next day in a long box rather than the plastic the other two had arrived in. Delivered by UPS rather than FedEx. My late wife was also here but very much in the background, as in I knew she was in the house but I never saw her. Then the dream transition to a friend arriving with two tickets to a Taylor Swift concert. We attended but the only thing about the concert was that he somehow had a prior connection to her and she presented him with a birthday cake shaped like a castle and looking like it was made out of Legos. The candles were sparklers. Swift never actually touched the cake. it was on rails and was slid out from the side of the stage. Then the concert was over (I never did hear any songs) and people started to leave. As I looked around I noticed most of the people were middle aged or older and most of them were asleep. Thant's when I woke up.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
Another hot one in store for today with a high predicted to be in the low 90s with very high humidity making the heat index rise into the low 100s. I'll definitely be hiding indoors today.
Yesterday was pretty quiet. I did get in a 14 mil bike ride and got the laundry caught up. The remainder of the day was spent waiting for the area rug that never showed. According to the FedEx web site it appears my rug is lost somewhere in Kentucky. Maybe they'll find it tomorrow or Monday.
I did have an unusual experience Friday night that I forgot to mention yesterday. Normally I sleep through the night without interruption. For some reason I woke up about 1 AM. I noticed there appeared to be a light on downstairs. When I went to investigate I discovered that a seldom used computer had started up about 10 minutes prior. It was not in sleep mode, the power button has to be pushed to start it up. Very mysterious.
All stay safe.

Morning, everyone.
Got back last night from a 4-day trip to SE Oregon's Great Basin country.
Third time is the charm... after two tries over the decades, finally got to drive up the Steens Mtn overlook since the gates were not closed on account of snow. Amazing views 5,000 feet above the Alvord Desert.
Definitely binocular country.
Tom - that is a really interesting dream! Love the birthday cake!
Charlie - really curious to see your KJR 5 caboose, the prototype is intriguing!
