The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Greetings, gang.

24 and snow. So far about 8 inches on the ground with another 8 expected by tonight. After the snow temperatures will start to drop, winding up in the single digits by early next week. Also the wind will be pick up later with speeds near but just below 35 mph. The 35 mph is significant because if the wind is steady or has frequent gusts at that speed it will be considered a blizzard. Right now it's just a winter storm.

I'll be heading out shortly to run the snow blower for the first time so I can try to keep a little ahead of the storm. Also still battling the leaks under the kitchen sink. If I don't have it fixed by Monday I'm going to call a plumber. Getting VERY frustrated over this project.

Gas has dropped 14 cents this week. Down to $2.58 this morning.

All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.

15 going to 18 with still some blowing snow. About 15 inches of snow since Friday evening.

I've given up on the kitchen sink project. I'll be calling a plumber in the morning. About 7 I'll start up the snow blower again and clean off the sidewalks and driveway. Still no sign of a snow plow so I'll need to run it at least a couple more times before this is all over.

All stay safe.

Good morning Big Blue. Today is the calm before the storm. We are supposed to get snow starting around 3am tonight but they aren't sure how much snow we are supposed to get. So anywhere from 0-100 inches as we all say. Today will consist of getting salt, dog food, cat food, and then coming home and relaxing. I will probably be at the workbench working on my projects that I have lined up while my fiance enjoys the day off from work. Hope you all have a wonderful day and if you are getting snow and have to be out, be careful. Take care my friends.

Good Morning Blue. Woke up around 3 this morning to it snowing. It wasn't too bad then but when it was time to take the fiance to work everything was covered. I've already shoveled twice since 630. Today will consist of getting the house ready for the Christmas tree and some modeling. They are saying it is to stop around 12-1 but I don't believe anything they say anymore. They are as bad as doctors when it comes to things. They practice doing the weather like doctors practice medicine. Ah well if you have to go out today be careful especially if you live here in the east. Take care my friends.

Greetings gang.

8 degrees headed for the mid to upper 20s.

I don't feel quite so bad about not being able to fix the kitchen sink. The plumbers took almost 2 hours and had to make a trip to the shop for additional parts. They also cleaned the basement drain and the kitchen sink drain. Went to a Christmas program for the youngest great-grandson last night. He's in first grade already. It always surprises me how quickly they grow. Nothing major in the activity planner for today.

Gas down again. It was $2.49 last night when I came back to town.

All stay safe.

We went off shopping in the next county today. Coming home, we stopped at a red light on the highway. A white van thing stopped sharply behind me and half the snow on his roof slid down his windshield.
I bought a pair of shoes -- step-in winter boots. They felt alright in the store but were painful to walk in when we got home. Back up there tomorrow.

Hello Blue.
Cloudy. 19/30 for the day. I'm tired of winter already. Went to Florida once for three winter weeks, got homesick for my own chair and bed.
Routine doctor visit yesterday, got a flu shot, was not all that interested in getting one but they were kinda pushy, so I said OK.
Snow on the ground, but streets and sidewalks are clear.

Good Evening Everyone,

Today was a cold one. It didn't get out of the high 20's today and we did have a few snow showers but nothing series. They are calling for more snow tomorrow but we shall see because I've looked at the weather the past couple of hours and it has changed numerous times. I'm ready for spring to be here already and the warm weather again.

A frigid greetings, gang

It's currently a balmy -13 under clear skies. Predicted (guessed at) high around +11. Warming overnight tonight though so the brutal cold shouldn't last too long (this time).

I've been doing some more cleaning after the kitchen sink debacle. Found a new piece of linoleum in the attic but it's taking some time to get it flattened. I've been using a heat gun and a piece of 1X6 as an iron. Progress is progressing. Today will consist of a trip to the bank and a stop at the grocery store for some eggs. Otherwise today will consist of sheltering in place and planning the procedure to paint the stairway walls.

Gas is down to $2.44 with the gouging station trying to get everyone to pay $2.79.

All stay safe (and warm).

Tom

Greetings, gang.

32 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday. Currently 19 degrees head for a high of around 33. Cooler again tomorrow but not the nasty cold of yesterday. Also 4-8 inches of snow expected tomorrow night into Sunday.

Fairly quiet day yesterday. Errands were run according the the schedule and the linoleum is cut out and waiting for the paint to dry under the kitchen sink. That project will be finished later this morning. Currently no other plans until this evening when there is a basketball game for one of the great-grandsons. In fact, there are no major plans for the upcoming weekend other than a birthday party for one of the great-grandsons tomorrow and more snow shoveling on Sunday.

When I was out and about yesterday I noticed the gouging gas station had gotten back in line with he rest of the local stations at $2.44 (which has dropped again to $2.42) but a different station has taken over the gouging mantle and was at $2.78 as of late morning yesterday.

All stay safe.

Tom

PS forgot to add eggs were $2.32 yesterday.
