Hello Blue
Tiss some sun this morning, frost on the cars. 36 for today's Hi. Christmas day looks ok but Friday AM could bring freezing rain.
Out and about yesterday, gas was $2.75 most places. Only plan for today is an evening church service. Tomorrow afternoon will be spent with the kids.

Merry Christmas everybody!
Pleasant but breezy start to the day, temps may have hit 50 oF. Took the dog for a hike, finished wrapping a gift and got stockings together for tonight/tomorrow.
We're having dinner tonight for my father-in-law, one of Kristin's nephews and our son and his soon-to-be fiancé before heading to a late mass at 10PM. Tomorrow will be at my sister-in-law's. Played pool with the father-in-law and took two games of eight ball out of three.
Won a Christmas present of my own this morning - a CN M420 in zebra stripes - my first foreign power in the gorge. Hope to get a decoder in it so I can run it in consist after I receive it.
Running consists last night was annoying until I found the problem. A loose plow on the front of my GP38 that I believe was touching both rails.
No work on the ACME until later this week, but I'm off until the 5th, so I may have multiple opportunities to get something done in White Haven.
I hope everyone enjoys the next week!

Merry Christmas, gang
Foggy and 34 this morning headed for less foggy and 41 later on.
Yesterday I finished up the main floor redecorating. All tools and supplies have been returned to the appropriate location and today will be a day of rest, relaxation, and admiring my own handiwork.
All stay safe.

Greetings,gang.
Currently it's 34 degrees in the remote reaches of northern Iowa headed for....14. Rain, 40 mph, wind, sleet, freezing rain and eventually 1-4 inches of snow headed my way.
Once the rain switches to snow I'll need to get out and put down some ice melt. Otherwise not much going on.
Gas when I was out yesterday was $2.35.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
Currently 8 degrees in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning with steady winds at 20 mph and gusts to around 35 mph. High for today is maybe 15. Blizzard warning in effect until 9 AM.
Our storm yesterday got upgraded (downgraded?) to a blizzard yesterday around 2 PM. I did go out about 9 and scoop the slush off the sidewalks and hopefully that kept too much ice from building thus requiring dynamite to remove it. This morning I'll try cleaning off the sidewalks again. I do have ice melt if worst comes to worst. Otherwise no activities major or minor planned for the day.
All stay safe.

been a rough time here woke up Tuesday with a blurry left ere went to the eye doctor Wednesday and pressure was though the roof held me there till after a lot of eye drops and pills pressure went down them they informed the problem as the lens in the eye had slipped causing the pressure to jump up said there might be some permeant damage getting me lined out for surgery to fix the lens also to have a glaucoma doctor to check it out. Bad timing as two of my boys are here to put insulation in garage/train room and install a heat pump.

Hello Blue
Some sun. 21/27 for the day.
Yesterday was a nasty one. High winds, snow squalls caused accidents all over Detroit freeways before they could get salted.
I got no plans for going out today or tomorrow. I'm cold, I guess it's old age.
