it was a cloudy but active Sunday on the 25th of October in 2015 at East Palestine.

Late October or very early November 1977. Westbound at Franklin Square Ohio. This is just west of the cut where the PC had piled 3 trains in June 1975.

10/28/1980 Amtrak train 47 at MP 241, just below the Horseshoe Curve. It was snowing and blowing.

Sorry, I forgot the date, it was 10/28/1980. As for "modern"  I have some photos of the newer Amtrak European look but I don't make any added effort to photograph them, personally I think they are ugly and the new paint doesn't work for me either.
