My newest locomotive

This is an Athearn GP38-2 I picked up recently. The shell is rtr quality and the chassis is the old blue box spline shaft drive with brass worms and has that characteristic Athearn growl that I like to hear.



It'll be lashed up tail to tail with this old warhorse I just rebuilt:
