I got this older Tyco (mantua also) engine, have no clue what it was suppose to be?

This is a model of a Plymouth (Fate-Root-Heath) 60 Ton Model CR-4. Here are a couple of links to photos of a prototype.

Hope this helps.

60 tons on two axles is about the maximum for US rails.

I Have one of those that I Have bin meaning to redo. I original detailed and painted it when I was around 12.    
 My other car is a locomotive, ARHS restoration crew

there are motor trucks out there with can motors that are DCC ready that you can repower this with, though they cost, and i know you like to keep things frugal.
