Hello David---you certainly have a keen eye.I completely overlooked the numerical simlarities with SD40-2 5920 and AC44CW 9520.Quite a change in their appearances though

Hello again---here's another shot of CP's big power spotted yesterday at Kinnear Yard---AC44CW 8882

Hello --- CP's Hamilton Kinnear Yard is becoming one of my favourite railfanning spots---not only big power, leased units but also grimy old geeps. Now if a steam engine would show up I would think I had died and gone to heaven.

Hello Everyone---Feb.26th was the first anniversary of the tragic and fatal derailment of Via train 92 at Burlington Ontario. All 3 crewman in locomotive 6444 were killed and many passengers were injured. An inquiry is on-going but excessive speed appears to be a major factor resulting in this accident.I was going through some old photos and came across #6444 taken during the 90's.

Hello Everyone---good timing at Kinnear Yard this morning as there were two trains sitting in the yard,an eastbound and one heading west. Here's a few pictures.First up is the east bound.
Here's the westbound waiting on the passing track. This shot was taken from Wentworth St.S. looking east.I couldn't get any closer as there are trespassing warnings. The autorack car on the right track was the last car of the eastbound.

Those number boards on 9615 -- what are they telling us? One side is ex-SOO and the other is ex-CP?

Moderato ma non troppo Perth & Exeter Railway Company Esquesing & Chinguacousy Radial Railway In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task. Most modellers can get two of them to work.

Does CP ever clean their units or just let the oil and grime build up.

Hello Everyone---thanks for your comments. It appears that the Canadian National also likes the "weathered look" as well.

Hello Everyone---spring has arrived but Mother Nature has forgotten to turn up the thermostat---another cold but sunny day as I headed down to Kinnear yard. Here's some of the action including a shot of a hawk that was startled by the passing locomotives.

Nice pictures Ed. Don't under rate those raptors. We used to have them fly ahead of us to take advantage of the meals that we would vibrate from the tracks, mostly mice and snakes. The would swoop down in front of us and grab these morsels. Mary says we were their "meals on wheels"
