A holding company like my CDB Industries owns several railroads under their railroads will have a family resemblance.
Of course there is a organization called American Shortline And Regional Railroad Association that may be better suited then a holding company..

I've known you, on, and off, for a number of years, as a narrow gauge, On30, modeler ---- I didn't know you were into herding cats.
I'm a cat rustler from way back...
Back to the subject at hand, again:

Yes, an association makes more sense in this case.

Hi Catt,
Yes, I found the website and I was trying to be ironic.
Everyone wants to be part of an exclusive and/or elite group within the larger community and at the same time, they don't want to be excluding anyone.
Everyone's allowed to come inside the clubhouse until it gets too crowded, at which point I'll be forced to leave... Secretly hoping that some of you will follow me into the next room...
