OK, we have a few entires in this search for a logo/herald for our global railroad, the Greenwich & Meridian. What we'd like to do next is to find out which one, or ones are more appropriate. This is not a contest as such since there are no winners. What we'd like to do if possible, is to take aspects of some of these and incorporate them in some way to a series of heralds that span the years. What we're thinking about is perhaps a pre-1900, early 1900's (20's-30's), later 1900's (50's-60's) and a modern set. There would be a group of logos suitable to fit each of these eras since on type wouldn't fit all eras.
I need feedback. Are these acceptable blocks of time? Would we need more or fewer, or different time periods? We also need feedback on which of these submitted logos we should use, and perhaps in which era would they belong in. I will then do my best to combine the aspects of these logos into a usable set of heralds and logotypes for each era. This may be difficult to do, but I'll give it my best shot. . So, I gave my vote to both of them..
Otherwise everything submitted is fair game and I'm no where's near coming up with the final draft. One thing I do know, we will have a number of logos that will be ear specific so there's a chance that we will use some of all that was submitted.
