Remembering biL Marsland...

biL's decals made the long way over the great pond! Thank you very much Thumbsup

The decals are still wet but I want to show you how perfect the LS&W decals fit on a modern 50' high cube boxcar. It is my intention to use the biL's car regular in daily operation on my layout and not as a gimmick only.

THANK YOU

ps. Flux loading only, of course!

Very nicely done, Reinhard, and officially the first LS&W rolling stock. Thumbsup Thumbsup

For anyone using these decals, here's Rail Graphics' instruction sheet regarding application procedures:

Got my decals in the mail the other day - thanks Wayne! They look great - and after looking over the sheet, I should have enough to do several cars. I've got an undecorated boxcar, and a cobbled together and kitbashed wooden gondola. Gotta admit - Bill created a very believable freelance logo.

I agree, and not only is the herald authentic-looking, the roadname is very prototypical-sounding. A friend, not a Member here, was so impressed by the roadname and herald that he's doing four cars for biL's road. Thumbsup Thumbsup

I agree that the herald is a very plausible one. I'm hoping to do three or four LS&W open hoppers as part of a coal train . I'm imagining that my Kings Port & Western connects the Hudson Valley Penn Central to coal fields to the west and south. bil's road is part of that and will be reflected in a coal tain I'm hoping to create that will run through my layout.

Got'em...They look really good... 2285_

Now I'm glad I went and bought an undecorated boxcar which I've yet to put together. It's been sitting in my "collection" of kits to build. Now it's going to go on the workbench...

Thanks for all the time & effort you've put into this... Thumbsup

Incidentally, for anyone who's opted to pay using Paypal, my account there is under my regular e-mail address. For those of you who don't have it, send me a PM. Wink Goldth

I must admit to being quite pleased that so many of you have received your decals already. The postal system has done better than I would have thought. Thumbsup Thumbsup

Got mine Saturday. I think it is funny they got to Germany two days faster! Anyway, hope to have a model ready to show by mid week. Thanks Wayne!

Mine arrived late Thursday, The postal delivery is either slow, or I'm one of the last addresses on the postman's route.
I went through the "Shake-the-box" kit shelf, and set out 6, 40" boxcars ( 5 "Roundhouse, and one Athearn ). I will have to first "un-decorate" some of them, and then assemble( with a few added details ), paint, and letter, for the Lehigh Susquehanna & Western.
The cars will probably see most of their running at Trainfest, each November, in Milwaukee, most probably with a Nantahala Midland Box car, and a JGL hopper somewhere in the mix.

It appears that only six modellers on the mailing list have not yet received their decals, and one of those has yet to provide a mailing address. I'm actually quite impressed by the postal service.
I ordered a book earlier this year from an outfit in Connecticut, and it took over two months to get here. At a distance of about 500 miles, I could have walked there, picked up the book and walked home faster. Misngth

You are now down to five that have not yet received their decals - mine was delivered today.

Thank you for doing this, Wayne!

Just a reminder to all who have ordered LS&W decals. Please let me know when you receive them, as I am holding back the remaining extra sets in case any get lost in transit. Once all have been accounted for, I'll release the remaining ones for sale, as I already have a couple of interested parties.
