WOW!..Looks awesome!
This is a sad thought, but, take the locos out, add some trees and bushes, maybe some junk, and those long shots look like pics of abandoned roundhouses that I've seen. Complete with the turntable bridge missing.

I went to my Happy Place, but it was closed for renovations.

Thanks bigsteel and Viperman. 88, yes you are right, it does look somewhat abandoned. I might remove the locos and place some ground cover in the area, after weathering the pit, and take some pics before reinstalling the bridge.

I took my grass applicator for a test drive behind the roundhouse. Other than the fact I think I applied the grass too heavily, I think it is not too bad. It works, the grass is standing up!

Thanks Josh, I built the applicator per the thread Dr Wayne posted at Zealot some time back. I'm not sure if it's been duplicated here. Here is a link to it: http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156699

I agree with Gus: your roundhouse looks great. I like the colour on the cement-block extension, too.

If it was not for the background, you had to look twice to see that it is a model and not the real thing. Awesome Thumbsup

Well, thank you all vIery much everyone. For those who have commented on the windows, they are by Tichy if you would like to buy some. Tichy makes some great products. Thanks for your kind words CNW, I should learn photoshop and edit out the distracting backgrounds in most of my shots, it would be a great improvement.

I've started work on the powerhouse. I'm attaching some pics and have more questions if anyone can help. I taped together the wall sections for the new bldg and placed it on the layout where it will go. The design was a combination of the Magnuson model I am replacing, and elements of a bldg at Bethlehem on the Lehigh Valley. The front wall which faces the aisle at near eye level has a door and several windows. I feel I should do something with the interior (unlike my ultimate decision with the roundhouse). Just the first floor, I will black out the windows on the second floor. You see on the photo below that there is a wall behind the front wall, which will seperate the office area (?) from where the boilers are (behind). One question is what might this area have been used for? What would be appropriate to see thru the windows? Any help is appreciated.

This photo shows one end wall with a rollup door. I am thinking to model the door partially open as shown. Loading dock doors where I worked had chains which looped down from the housing mech which an employee would use to open/close the door. I thought I would model an employee with his hands on a chain opening the door. You would get a glimpse inside so I need thoughts on the appearance of the interior. Many years ago I worked for Purex and they had a boilerhouse, I saw if a couple times but only remember it vaguely. I don't recall what detail there was on the boiler end, if any. Some gauges I would think, some piping. Would there be a pump of some sort, as there is on the oil burning furnaces in homes? Any suggestions here are welcome also.
