One photo,,, three builders,,, three eras, out on the Pocono main.
The three unit set of F-3's owned by the ARHS and the Tri-state division of the NRHS started it's journey to Spencer NC. for the Streamliners event there.
I am proud to say that Toptrain, Tomustang, and myself had a hand in the restoration of these girls. In this pic we are coupled up to the NS power to start our trip to the Allentown yard where some other units will added for the rest of the trip to North Carolina. In the background you can see the D&L power with it's interchange train for NS. So we have modern NS GE units, 1960's D&L ALCOS, and DL&W F units from the 40's. All in one shot, on an active main. Not what you see every day. Thumbsup

G'day folks, Returning to the theme of Beyer-Garratt locomotives. The New South Wales Government Railway of Australia had Garratts with the Class Number AD60.
You can find details about them and an available HO scale model at:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://eurekamodels.com.au/Garratt.html">http://eurekamodels.com.au/Garratt.html</a><!-- m -->
For N scalers there is a KICKSTSARTER for manufacturing an N scale model of the AD60s. Go to:

OR "Google" : AD60 garratt "N scale" kickstarter
The gentleman in charge of the project, Phil Badger, has organised some significant extra financial support for the project which is not included in the Kickstarter figures. This support is $40k, or 80 peoples worth, which brings down the number of supporters needed by June 30th to only 140 from 416. Phil is not a fly-by-night operator and operates a well respected `operation' here in Australia. He has already produced and marketed ready to run locomotives and freight cars.see:

For those interested it is an opportunity to have a close to unique piece of N scale motive power.
Regards, Andrew G.
Always learning, from both wins and losses.
