Watch a hard working Alco and its crew go about their work in a snow storm.. If you have earphones use 'em and crank the volume and enjoy pure Alco sounds. There's two interesting scenes.

Tom, Did you notice the makeshift snow blower? I thought that was cool.

Yes, I did. It reminded me of something I did when I got my first leaf blower back in the 90s. Kids thought I was nuts but we had a light dusting of snow and I used the leaf blower to clean the sidewalk.

Modeling LAJ Ry & ATSF ALCO S-2 & S-4 ALCOs noticed their stacks were not the stock ones that come w/ other ALCO switchers. Likewise the ACJ S-2 is not stock. Did they put their own stacks on or did that S-2 some from another RR? Ditto the whistle is not stock ALCO. Do you know what kind it is?

Andy,The 107 is a ex-Fairport Painesville & Eastern 107 nee NW 2045 nee NKP 45 so,the stack could have been replaced at some point over the years.

Larry, it's not that far from me and I need to get there. They got an S-1 that was stored in New Castle about 8 years ago. I have to find the time to see what's happening there.

Looking a pix of pre AC&J 107 owners it looks like it started life as a S-4 but it's now riding on S-2 trucks. Also the stack has been changed by the different owners. Some previous owners include NW, NKP & PC.

Andy,Would you know what number she carried as a PC unit? I would like to add that to my foot notes.

I keep foot notes on Ohio short lines as information surfaces..
