I didn't want to add this to Pennman's DCC question but ,,,
When I was helping a friend with his initial DCC adventure, I had to read the instructins for him and translate the math which was
sometimes base 10 (normal numbers)
sometimes base 8 (no digit over 7)*
sometimes base 2.
Some places they would start counting at 0, sometimes at 1.
I don't think they ever used hexadecimal (numbers go up to F).
