For What Its Worth

As a update I may not be as active as I once was because the good doctors decided I couldn't take care of myself seeing I was in the hospital for congestive heart failure in less then a months time. Icon_e_surprised   Needless to say my health has improved since there is no easy to grab goodies or cans of diet Coke. Goldth

As of now I'm stuck in a nursing home that has no hobby area but, that should change as I will be transferring to another home with a hobby area so,my plans is to build 1' X 6' N Scale ISL. 2285_  I plan on modeling the late 50s or perhaps the 60s.

Larry, thanks for the update. I wish you the best. I was diagnosed with CHF about 12 years ago and have been on the same medication since then. It has helped a lot, so maybe it's your medication that's the reason you're doing better. Regardless, I hope you get somewhere that you can do your new layout. They probably don't give you much room, so N scale is indeed the best choice.

Take care, and keep us posted on how you're doing and what you're up to.....

Thanks for the update. Some hobby time will definitely help you. I had an N scale ISL when I was in an apartment. It's not bad. As far as the CHF, take care of yourself and you'll be better. I have 2 friends that are in the same boat and they are doing well on the meds.

Keep us posted and visit when you can!

~~ I wonder what that would look like in 1:20.3???

Good news! If all goes according to plan I will be out of this nursing home by the 30th of this month! So, that means back to a life with model trains and of course railfanning. I will be staying with my daughter and she told me there's a finished basement awaiting for you and your trains in fact that's where they are already at...At that information I almost had a heart attack until she assured me the basement is finished dry and heated.

She suggested a 4x8 foot layout.. I see a large ISL and modeling desk.. We'll seen when I look at the basement.

At any rate it will be nice to be out of here.. You can bet the farm I won't go back to my old ways that landed me here.

Wow Larry, that's not good news, that's GREAT NEWS. Applause Applause Really glad that you're doing well enough that you can go home and do things that you want to do. Glad that your daughter could find that space for you.

Keep us posted, we can throw you a coming home party..... well, maybe that what got you there in the first place, too many cupcakes and soda pop, so let's just skip that and just say, WELCOME HOME.  2285_ 2285_

I agree:  that's great news Larry.  A new home, with room for a layout, and better opportunities for railfanning, too.
