By the way, the last group of post gave me a good laugh.

Don't know what the platform is for, but did you use rail spikes for the stirups or whatever they are called?

I'd guess that the platform is for transformers, Gary. And I have to agree, it looks like rail spikes for those access pegs.

Yep, yes sir. that's a transformer rack in the works. The pole steps are bent music wire. This one is modeled after one in Stepan Chemical (formerly Maywood Chemical) of Maywood NJ. When It's all finished it will have a small brick building next to it to house the switch gear and rectifier. Utility power comes in at 4,160V and stepped down to 480V at the rack before entering the shed and changed over to DC.

At first I went with the goalposts....But I see the wisdom in Wayne's idea....
